After 30 years of living and breathing the B Corporation standards, it was time to make it official.

Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are businesses who put planet and people before profit. 

These companies have voluntarily chosen to be evaluated against the rigorous standards set by B Lab, a non-profit organisation. These standards cover a comprehensive range of criteria including governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Only companies that demonstrate a genuine commitment to positive impact are granted B Corp status.

Being a Certified B Corporation is more than a badge of honour - it's a promise. It means OCS is bound to consider the impact of its decisions on employees, suppliers, community, consumers, and the environment. This ensures that choices benefit not just our bottom line, but the world around us.To maintain certification, B Corps must update their B Impact Assessment and verify their updated B Impact score every three years.

OCS was recently re-certified with an improved impact score of 87.7, up from our first assessment in 2020. As a manufacturer this is a proud achievement. It embodies OCS's ethos and unwavering commitment to making constant improvements - no matter how small - and a positive change in the world.
